Gabriel was born and raised on the rich coast of the Caribbean peninsula, where food is a cultural passion. In 1995 he brought this passion to the San Francisco Bay area and has been expanding his experience locally ever since. He has worked hands-on in various fine restaurants including Mexican Californian cuisine, French and Italian. He's had the fortunate opportunity to work with industry leaders in his craft, and has in-turn brought his passion and knowledge to Sushi Ran.
